Fun DIY with Munix Scissors

Fun DIY with Munix Scissors

February, 2025

If you grew up laughing at the wild antics of Oggy and the Cockroaches, you know how iconic this blue cat and his lazy brother are. So why not bring the fun off-screen and onto your craft table?

This weekend, we recreated Oggy and his brother using simple materials, a dash of paint, and, of course, Munix scissors — the sharpest tool in the creative kit.

 Materials You’ll Need:

  • Coloured craft paper (blue, white, pink, black, red, and yellow)

  • Munix scissors (precision for curves and tiny cuts!)

  • Fevicol or glue stick

  • Poster colours or acrylic paints

  • Paint brushes

  • Black sketch pen or marker

  • Cardboard base (optional)

 Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Trace the Base Shapes

Start by drawing Oggy's and his brother’s body outline on blue craft paper. Keep the bodies chunky and rounded—just like in the show!

Pro Tip: Use Munix scissors for perfectly curved edges—no jagged lines, just clean cuts.

2. Cut and Paste Facial Features

Cut out white ovals for the eyes, black dots for pupils, pink ovals for the nose, and red for the tongue. Add little mustache whiskers using black paper or a marker.

Their faces are expressive, so have fun exaggerating the eyes or jaw for comic effect!

3. Add Arms, Legs, and Ears

Use matching paper and paint highlights to craft their limbs. Position them in a funny pose—maybe one chasing a cockroach?

4. Paint Details

Use paint to fill in finer details: the belly, tongue highlights, or inner ear shades. Munix scissors handle all the paper prep, leaving painting as the fun part!

5. Final Assembly

Paste everything on a cardboard base to make your Oggy duo stand up—or frame them as DIY room decor.
